A new parenting book has been deemed “Family Approved” reading by The Dove Foundation, now in its 15th year as an advocate for family values in entertainment.

The book, Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World is by Brent and Phelecia Hatch, parents of seven, who offer a timely twist, addressing important issues facing today’s parents and providing positive solutions to dealing with the effects of today’s media.

The Dove Family Approved Seal is awarded to movies, videos, made for TV movies and specials, web sites, books and other entertainment products that portray and encourage positive values.

A review of Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World, posted on the web site at: http://www.dove.org/research/family_book_about_entertainment.htm, states: “The explosion of media in recent years makes it a challenge to raise a family who keep their values intact while being bombarded by non-traditional values, or, in many cases, the lack of a value system at all.
